Family Picnic....

Last week was such a busy, chaotic week for this Holub family! The weather was finally hot enough for Dylan to get some pool time in. Poor guy begs to swim almost every day, and finally we were able to take advantage of the pool on the deck. He had a blast and loved being eye level with Skylar, on his territory! Skylar tho, never tried to get in the pool with Dylan, mommy and daddy were quite surprised!

The week started and Mommy was extremely busy at work and worked until 9pm, 3 nights in a row. This meant daddy was left to get the kids from daycare, do dinners, baths, play-time and get the kids rounded up and in bed all by himself. He did great and without an ounce of complaining, he is such a great supporter for mommy and the kids, we love daddy so much! Well, one of the nights, Dylan seemed to forget all about silverware during dinner time, as you can see, Spaghetti left quite the mess, 'skepi' as Dylan calls it! Daddy thought it was so funny and snagged a few pics for mommy to see what she missed out on! And after all of the fun and excitement Dylan had with daddy, poor little guy conked out early one night! Play time is such hard work!

Dylan had a great time this weekend with great friends and family! This weekend marked the annual Springville Fun Days, it is an annual event for our town, and at our house, to have great friends over for a BBQ and great conversation. This year was great as Mike and Kirsten have welcomed their own little bundle of joy to add to the list of kiddo's! Dylan had a great time playing with Lila and Danielle, he is such a sweet boy to these little baby girls, and I think they like watching him too, he is such a little ham! He had a fun time playing and the parents had a ton of laughs. Mommy & daddy don't remember the last time they laughed that hard, and all while the kiddo's were tucked in their beds fast asleep!

Sunday, mommy and daddy hosted a Kinney Family Picnic. We wanted to ALL get together as a family before Chase went back to start his 2ND year of college. This year he is starting a new beginning at a private college in downtown Pittsburgh, Point Park University. Chase is very excited and the family wanted to share in this excitement with him by celebrating, 1 year behind his belt and only 3 more to go! Dylan loves uncle Chase and was very excited that Chase and cousin Collin were coming over to play. He kept watching out the window for their cars to pull up and he welcomed them with a warm greeting in the kitchen when they arrived! Dylan seems to be going thru his picky eating stage. Mommy and daddy are SO ready for this stage to be over. But the kid will eat if he is hungry, right?! That is our philosophy anyway! Well he got his first dose of sweet corn and he thought that was pretty cool. The stinker didn't eat much else besides a ton of carrots, daddy is worried this kid is going to be a vegetarian! Well, he does eat meat, but is selective these days. Well, this Sunday, it was a day of veggies for Dylan. His cousins sure got a kick out of him. He ate at the table with the big kids and kept telling them how 'delicious' his food was. It was pretty funny, we even busted out the video camera because everything to Dylan was 'SO delicious'!!!

We enjoyed our family with some great laughs and an excellent feast! The big kids really enjoyed getting together and playing with the little kids. Dylan of course loved the attention of the big kids and getting loves from his Grandpa and Aunt and Uncle(s)! It was a beautiful afternoon. The rain stopped, the sun came out and the summer heat warmed our hearts, as we had an excellent afternoon of togetherness! Dylan is all snug in his bed tonight, pooped after a long, busy, at times hectic, week. We are praying for a week of routines and snuggles every night with mommy, daddy & Danielle. Thank you lord for blessing us with all of our family, and especially these fun times of togetherness!~
