Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow...

SNOW was the word of the day! It was our first Blizzard of the year, literally. We were officially all snowed in and may I add that we all enjoyed our family snow day today!

We anticipated yesterday afternoon what we would wake up to today. The weatherman said 12+ inches of snow, blizzard conditions, possible lost power and everything would close. Well, for once they were right! We awoke this morning to several inches of snow and the wind already starting to blow. We knew there was no way we were making it out of Springville today. It was our first family SNOW day!
We literally relaxed all day long. The kids slept in this morning. Late in the morning daddy decided he would get the 4wheeler out and tackle our driveway and our neighbors too! He was having so much fun, see for yourself!
Dylan was watching out the window and giving me a play by play on what daddy was doing. 'Shoveling snow white' he kept saying. 'Helping the guy and look the puppy is playing in the snow'. Yep, that is exactly what was going on! Gotta love the sound of little voices, especially on a day like today.

We stayed in our pj's all day long and the kids, well they did about whatever they wanted to. Dylan sat on the couch and read books, played with his toys, built towers and mountains (as he calls them) with his blocks, and watched the news. Yep, the kid loves to watch the news! No wonder he is our little reporter! He wanted pizza for a morning snack, so he got leftover pizza. He ate 2 pieces, and this was after breakfast even! Then for an afternoon snack he wanted cheese balls, he loves them! Those had to be eaten in the highchair, check out his orange paws and you will see why!!! Gotta love snow days to relax, catch up on some R&R time and not feel guilty for any of it!
This afternoon the kids took a nap, mommy had a yummy smelling roast in the crock pot, the driveway was done and mommy and daddy curled up on the couch and watched a movie! The wind was blowing and blowing, but we were all tucked in inside. The Christmas tree and garland lights were twinkling bright, we were all snuggled in for a burrrr, cold winters night!

Even Skylar was a little hesitant for playtime in the snow today. She had a few minutes of fun with daddy but quickly realized that it was a little too deep and cold for her fur!

The official total in Springville was 11.1 inches of snow. Thank goodness for daddy plowing us out with the 4wheeler today so we don't have as big of a mess to get out tomorrow. The outside Christmas decorations took the full fledged effect today with mounds of snow on-top and the twinkling lights shining thru the thick sparkly snow. The first SNOW day ever for our Holub family, and we took full advantage of our quality time, every little bit!
